Covid - 19 Safety Measures

Please note the below information is subject to change as per government regulations.

The Government introduced the relaxation of Covid restrictions as of February 28th, 2022.

1.The mandatory requirement to wear masks when indoors in University buildings has been removed. All persons should be encouraged to continue to wear a mask on a discretionary basis, as previously applied in teaching settings, but the decision to do so will be a personal choice.

2.The removal of the mask mandate applies across all University operations with no scope for local enforcement outside of the above recommendation.

3. All physical Covid protective measures such as screens, hand sanitising stations, etc. remain in place

You are encouraged to exercise personal responsibility and in particular to continue wearing masks in crowded settings and to adopt other good hygiene practices, such as the use of hand sanitiser. UCD facilities staff have worked tirelessly to make the campus as safe as possible for all staff and students. UCD is well equipped with posters containing information that learners can check and there are ample sanitizing stations available throughout the campus.

Learners are not required to be fully vaccinated to attend classes. Learners will not need to complete a contact tracing form before their class.

The Pool Side Café is open at the UCD Student Centre until 8.30pm if students would like refreshments. (This café is a two minute walk from the O'Brien centre for Science.)
