Payment methods 

You may pay for your course by a credit, charge or debit card. You acknowledge and agree that the UCD Professional Academy will not have any liability whatsoever for any insufficient funds or other charges incurred by you as a result of attempts to charge, and/or place holds on, your specified payment method as contemplated by these Terms.

You agree to pay us, through our payment processors, all charges at the prices then in effect for any purchase in accordance with the applicable payment terms presented to you at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to correct, or to instruct our payment processor or financing partner to correct, any errors or mistakes, even if payment has already been requested or received. 

Please note we cannot accept American Express or cheques. 

Failure to comply with payment terms will result in restricting access to course resources and could lead to withdrawal from the program.

 

PAYMENT TERMS for Part Time Programs - Live Online & On Campus

Learners undertaking the above program may avail of the following payment plan:

  • 50% deposit to secure your place

  • 50% payable within 30 days of starting the course or within completion of 50 % of the course program, whichever occurs earlier.

In the event that the full payment is not made within the above timeframe, access to the course content may be suspended and students may not be able to complete the course, submit assignments, or receive a grade.

All fees paid up to this point are non-refundable and non-transferable.

PAYMENT TERMS for On Demand Programs

On Demand learners are able to secure the booking and gain access to the course within two working days by paying:

  • 50% of the full course fee,

  • 50% within 30 days after the course start date.

In the event that the full payment is not made within the above timeframe, access to the course content may be suspended and students may not be able to complete the course, submit assignments, or receive a grade.

All fees paid up to this point are non-refundable and non-transferable.

PAYMENT TERMS for Professional Diploma in Software Development Program 

Learners undertaking the above program may avail of the following payment plan:

  • 50% deposit to secure your place,

  • 50% payable in 3 instalments: 

    • 15% - due within 2 months, 

    • 15% - due within 4 months, 

    • 20% - due within 6 months from the course start date.

Learners will be granted access to complete the first three projects of the course once the first 50% payment is made. The remaining fee must be paid within 6 months at which point full access to complete all course projects will be granted.

In the event that the full payment is not made within the above timeframe, access to the course content may be suspended and students may not be able to complete the course, submit assignments, or receive a grade.

All fees paid up to this point are non-refundable and non-transferable.

EXTENDED PAYMENT TERMS for

  • Professional Academy Diploma in UX Design
  • Professional Academy Specialist Diploma in HR Management
  • CompTIA A+ (Core Series) Certification
  • Professional Academy Diploma in Front-End Web Development

Learners undertaking the above courses may avail of the payment structure as follows:

  • 35% deposit to secure your place,
  • 35% due within 30 days from the course start date,
  • 30% due within 60 days from the course start date 

In the event that the full payment is not made within the above timeframe, access to the course content may be suspended and students may not be able to complete the course, submit assignments, or receive a grade.

All fees paid up to this point are non-refundable and non-transferable.

PAYMENT TERMS for Bootcamp Programs 

Learners undertaking the above program may avail of payment structure as follows:

  • 50% deposit to secure your place,

  • 50% due before course start date.

Failure to settle full course fee prior to course commencement date will result in denial in access to the program. 

PAYMENT TERMS for SPONSORING EMPLOYERS

We are able to issue invoices to employers relating to individual bookings. 

To avail of specific payment terms applicable to learners sponsored by their employer, prospective students must obtain internal approval from their employer prior to application to the program of choice. Approver’s contact details such as full name, work email and position will be requested by our sales consultant during the booking process to enable authorisation and invoicing process. 

Authorisation form must be completed and signed by the approver and participating student 5 days prior to course commencement date to ensure timely acceptance to the program. Failure to complete the authorisation process will result in the student being withdrawn from the program.

Course fees must be paid in full within 30 days of invoice date. 

Failure to make payments in the above time frame will result in the student being withdrawn from the program and/or not receiving their grades and completion certificate. All fees paid up to this point are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Validity of Invoices/Quotes 

An invoice issued by the UCD Professional Academy is valid for a 30-day period from the date of issue, the UCD Professional Academy reserves the right to withdraw an invoice within this period by notifying learners in writing. 

DISCOUNTS

Early Bird and other discounts provided are only applicable on certain courses. If you attempt to use the discount code against a course which is not included in the promotion, we reserve the right to reject your application.

Discount codes must be used at the time of initial booking, they cannot be retroactively applied to your account.

BUNDLE PRICING FOR DATA ANALYTICS & GRAPHIC DESIGN COURSE GROUPS

  • To avail of a bundle discount either both or three courses must be booked at the same time or student has previously completed and paid for another qualifying course.

  • Courses may be taken in any order.  However, with the Analytics bundle we strongly recommend that a student takes the Python course first.

  • The same student must be enrolled on all courses to avail of the discount

  • Data Analytics Bundle: Choose either two or three courses from Python Programming, Certificate in Introductory Data Analytics and Specialist Certificate in Data Analytics Essentials

  • Graphics Bundle: Choose either two or three courses from Graphic Design, Advanced Photoshop and Digital Media Design

CANCELLATIONS

A learner may express their right to cancel their purchase via email within a cooling off period of 14 days from date of purchase extended up to 10 days prior to course commencement date. On this expression a full refund will be issued without undue delay and in any event within 2 weeks.

If a refund is requested outside the cooling off period and less than 10 days prior to course commencement date, a Service and Administrative charge of €250 will be deducted from the refund due. Refunds can only be sent back to the original payment method used in a charge. In the case that a cancellation request followed after deferral, a student's initial purchase will be considered their commencement and as such a €250 charge will be deducted from their fees upon cancellation of their new intake.

Once the course has been commenced by a student, this is an indication of use of service and express acceptance of the above terms and conditions, and as a result no refunds will be issued at that point as it negates the cooling off period.

The UCD Professional Academy reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify the course delivery dates. This will only occur to such an extent as is necessary.

TERMINATION 

If you fail to pay the course fees by the specified dates, we will proceed to cancel your access to the resources together with your booking and you will no longer have access to our services.
