What is the allowable Turnitin score?
UCD Professional Academy does not have an 'allowable' Turnitin score that learners can aim to be under. Learners should always avoid plagiarism and ensure that they are correctly referencing their sources and adhering to our plagiarism policy which can be found here.
As per the policy, “Any sources or content which are not your own work should be clearly cited. Work containing unoriginal content which is not clearly acknowledged will fail if, in the judgment of the assessor, the amount of original work is insufficient to demonstrate achievement of the Learning Outcomes. For the avoidance of doubt, content produced by artificial intelligence, e.g., an AI chatbot, do not constitute your own work”.
Therefore, any content that is flagged by the grader as plagiarised content will be discounted during marking and could result in a Fail overall if the learning outcomes are not met.
Our Subject Matter Experts are familiar with assessment templates and when templates are flagged, they do not penalise for this.
